GETTING HERE
BY CAR
from Belize International Airport…- Leave Airport, about 3/4 mile you will come to a "T" junction. Turn right this is the Northern Highway.
- Follow the road through Ladyville and along side the Belize River, cross over the Haulover Bridge and on into Belize City, It is about 13 miles.
- You will notice an overhead walkway and roundabout with many flags flying and a monument in the center of it.
- At this roundabout you will take your first right exit, you will pass Save "U" Supermarket on your right and cross over Bel–Can bridge, travel on this road until you come to a roundabout, there will be a Texaco and Shell gas stations on your left side.
- Take a right turn here. This will take you pass the graveyard and out of the city towards Belmopan. This is the Western Highway. It is 47 miles to Belmopan Junction.
- En route to Belmopan you will pass through Hattiville and then at mile 29 you will pass the Belize Zoo on your right hand side. Another 3/4 mile you will see a gas station on your left hand side. This is Democracia Village.
- Choice #1: Making a left turn here you will be on the Coastal Highway towards Dangriga. This is a dirt road and can be very rough or muddy at times, it is about 38 miles long. This will save about 30 miles, if you take this get gas and refreshments from the gas station and ask about the road condition.
- Choice #2: If going onward to Belmopan after another mile you will see “Cheers” and then "J.B's" on your left hand side. Good places to stop for food and refreshments.
- Coming down the hill at mile 47 you will see the Guanacaste National park on your right and a left turn at the bus shelter.
- Turn left here and head towards Belmopan. You will pass the gas station on your left and then one on your right. Be sure to fill your gas tank here.
- You will come to a roundabout with a strange statue on it.(Should you want to go to the fruit stands in Belmopan follow the roundabout and take the road going to your left. The drive is about 3/4 of a mile to the center of the city where the market is at. You will see the bus terminal to your right and just beyond that is the market area with multiple fruit stands). Otherwise if no stop is necessary Go straight across this roundabout and down the hill. You are now on the Hummingbird Highway. It is about 45 miles to Dangriga.
- Warning: There are numerous narrow bridges on this highway, although they are historical they are dangerous so please watch out for oncoming traffic. Traveling on this highway towards Dangriga you will pass through the village of Armenia then about 6 miles more you will pass the Blue Hole National park on your right then Ian Anderson's Caves Branch on your left then the Blue Hole itself. You might want to stop for a swim here. It costs a few dollars but the money is for the park. More miles you will pass through villages and "Del Oro" Citrus processing plants. You will come to a village on your right hand side with some unusual and tall trees, you will see a left turn dirt road to "Manantee lodge". This would have been your Choice from Democracia and would turn left onto the paved road towards Dangriga. Continue towards Dangriga crossing a bridge and then another 1/2 mile you will see Esso Shibel gas station on your right. You might want to fill up gas here and refreshments.
- Under 1/4 mile passed this Esso station you will see a right hand turn This is called 6 miles junction.
- Turn right on this paved road. You are on Southern Highway towards Punta Gorda in the deep south. It is about 8 miles to Hopkins Junction.
- You will pass through Silk Grass village and then over a bridge, ahead you can see a red roof of a bus shelter, this is Hopkins junction.
- Turn left at the bus shelter onto the four miles of dirt road to Hopkins village Jungle Jeanie by the Sea Resort is about 1 mile south of Hopkins, after you enter the village, you will see a King Kassava restaurant & Bar at the right entrance of the village, take a right and go straight until you reach rough, dusty road and continue driving for about half mile, you will see the Jungle Jeanie By The Sea Resort sign on the left hand side of the road. Turn left and drive for about 10 seconds up to the beach, and here you are, WELCOME TO Jungle Jeanie By The Sea Resort.

Hop a flight on Tropic Air Directly from Belize International Airport to Dangriga. BY BUS
